We develop I.T. Strategy Maps to visually represent the causality between I.T. strategy and activities and the delivery of stated business objectives and outcomes.
The I.T. Strategy Map becomes a very powerful communication tool for representing the "big picture" and showing where people, groups and their efforts fit.
It is also valuable for "testing the fit" of I.T. strategy and activities against business needs and objectives.
We identify Objectives, Critical Success Factors (CSF), Key Performance Indicators (KPI), Key Result Indicators (KRI) and Measures using the principles of Balanced Scorecard.
There is much to be gained from the "journey" of developing Strategy Maps and Scorecards because:
Once completed, the Strategy Map and its Scorecards are placed under Change Control and Configuration Management as they are used to align & measure activities and determine (budget) priorities across I.T.
