I have over 25 years hands on experience in IT, covering most aspects of the "IT vertical slice" eg programming, analysis, testing, infrastructure, communications, programme/project management, IT Management, IT Service Management, Risk, Training.

And that's because I have consistently found that IT centric thinking and methodologies are not enough to resolve the "deal breakers", issues and challenges facing IT Executives & Managers today.

I have found that IT success is achieved most consistently and effectively by first understanding the Business context, drivers, outcomes, targets and perceptions - these are what the Business will measure the IT group against (whether stated or not).

I embrace the language of the business and its needs, and the dynamics of people and their perceptions - as these are critical determinants of IT success - be it programmes, projects or Services.
